Can a duck’s egg still be viable if the hard shell never formed?

One of the ducks just laid an egg by their food dish, but it is rubbery. There is no hard shell on it. I am just wondering what it means like that maybe it is an unfertilized egg or something.

Soft shelled eggs are due to a calcium deficiency.I believe it can be fertile whether it is soft or hard.But if laid soft and fertile I dont think it will hatch because it will dry up first.

One of the most important components of your computer is the hard drive which is used as a permanent storage device to store data. The data is stored in a digitally encoded form on magnetic platters. It can be manipulated by using the read-write head which is a small electro-magnetic coil, located very close to the magnetic surface.
