Should my body opponet bags face be soft?

I bought him a little less than a year ago. I know his face is suppose to suppress inwards when punched but it seems to me that something may have happened to it to make his face softer and it may be affecting me when i punch him. Almost like his face is sucking in my punches to much making it harder for me to pull back. IF you have a b.o.b. itd be helpful if you punched his neck area and then his face..on mine is face area is considerablyy softer then the neck. Is this normal?
Also ive practiced techniques such as rear naked choke on him, squeezing as head. This is suppose to be allowed but is it possible it could have deflated him.

mine has the same problem i think it is due to the amount of use if you hit it a lot it’s going to get worn out, that’s a given, and i also practice submissions on mine, i even put arms on it, so that could be why it’s softer now, if they take a beating they will get worn out, especially if you beat him up alot.
