What are the restrictions on hand luggage for air travel?

Am flying on holiday tomorrow and am busy trying to sort out my hand luggage… Am I likely to be able to take things like tweezers in my hand luggage, or would they be considered as a dangerous object?

Depends on the airline and security, but if I were you, I’d take it out to be safe. Officially, they are supposed to allow “small tools less than 7 inches,” but sometimes they will even confiscate child’s safety scissors.

how many luggages i can put on a luggage rack? is there a limit?

im moving out of state, driving all the way to dallas tx, from CA, taking lots of stuff with me, i was woundering, how many luggages i can stuck on top of the car (with a luggage rack) is there a law limit? or it dont matter as long its secure? please help.

There is no such thing as a ‘luggage’…so there is no ‘plural’ (luggages) luggage MEANS collection of suitcases, boxes, duffle bags…so do you mean how many suitcases or boxes can I put on a luggage rack?
You need to check your owner’s manual for the car-there IS a limit BY VEHICLE and type of RACK how much WEIGHT that rack and your roof will hold!
AND, many states have a law about HOW you tie luggage on the rack-you can’t just grab some poly twine and tie it up…imagine what would happen if you slammed on the brakes or got hit from behind…where is that luggage going to end up? On your windshield!
In some states they specify a DIAMOND hitch (pattern of tying with ropes) but you can also find ‘bungee cord’ luggage holders that stretch out completely over the rack-but you STILL need to tie it securely so that NO piece of luggage can move by itself.
And remember-the luggage on TOP counts for weight as well as what you stuff INSIDE and in the trunk, and passenger weight! You could easily overload the suspension of your car and cause damage! It might cost you less money to MAIL your luggage-a fraction of the cost of sending it UPS…and then pick it up when you get there!
